“I worked on this game for seven years. Everything fell into place when I imagined a shared dice box for all players. It came from a personal constraint: I don’t like spending time picking up dice in roll-and-writes. That made me think of possible alternatives. From there came the idea of a divided box. The moment when you shake the Forum, the dice roll, and everyone watches for the best opportunity… it’s a condensed version of everything I love in games: surprise, tension, and optimization.”
